Cozy sims for winding down

Some nights you don't want a boss fight. You want to water some crops and go to bed. Cozy simulation games have quietly become my favorite genre on the phone for exactly that reason.

Tide & Trowel is the one I keep returning to. Its tide system gives each day a gentle shape without ever punishing you for playing slowly. There's no energy bar demanding you stop, which is rarer than it should be.

The trap with sim games is the ones that look cozy but are secretly built around login streaks and timers. If missing a day sets you back, that's not relaxing, that's an obligation. I steer clear of those.

Look for sims with real local saves and offline play. Those are the ones you can actually enjoy on your own schedule, which is the whole point of a cozy game.
