About
Hollow Box started as a shared notes file between three friends who were tired of installing games that demanded a login before you could even see the menu. We wanted a place that focused on titles you can open on a train, in a tunnel, or on a flight with the radio off.,Everything you read here comes from real play sessions. We don't skim trailers and paraphrase store descriptions. Someone on the team installs the game, plays it for at least a few hours, and keeps notes on what felt good and what got annoying by the second day.,We pick games for review based on a mix of reader suggestions, what's quietly popular in the offline category, and plain curiosity. Genre doesn't matter much to us: a clever card game gets the same attention as a sprawling RPG. The only hard rule is that it has to work without the internet.,The site is small on purpose. No sponsored lists, no padded rankings. If a game didn't grab us, we say so and move on.
