Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is a compact role-playing game that fits a surprising amount into an offline package. You lead a small party across a dying highland kingdom, fighting turn-based battles and slowly piecing together why the sky keeps raining ash. Combat uses a stamina system instead of mana, which pushes you to plan a few turns ahead rather than spamming your best spell.

Progression is steady and readable. You see exactly what each level-up gives you, and gear choices actually change how a character plays. I spent an evening rebuilding my healer into a thorns-focused tank just to see if it worked, and it did.

The writing is understated and occasionally funny, and the hand-drawn art holds up well on a small screen. Chapters save automatically, so dipping in for one fight and leaving never costs you progress.
