Strategy
Ironline Command
★★★★☆ 4.4
Ironline Command drops you onto hex maps where you expand supply lines, capture nodes, and try not to overextend. It's slower and more deliberate than most mobile strategy, and that's the appeal. Each turn you're weighing fuel, reinforcements, and whether that tempting outpost is worth the exposure.
The AI opponents have distinct habits. One turtles and punishes greed, another rushes early and crumbles if you survive. Learning to read them is half the game. There's a decent campaign plus one-off skirmish maps for when you just want a quick match.
Everything runs locally, so a long session on a flight is entirely possible. My only gripe is that the tutorial rushes through logistics, which is the exact part newcomers struggle with.
What we liked
- Deep, deliberate turn system
- Distinct AI personalities
- Great for long offline sessions
